Our Director & CEO, Prassadh Shanmugam, was part of the distinguished panel on “Technology as a Strategic Differentiator in Insurance: AI, Automation, and Advanced Analytics” at the Sri Lanka International Insurance Summit 2026.

The discussion delved into where AI, automation, and advanced analytics are genuinely making a difference for insurers—and where the real work still lies in turning these technologies into meaningful business outcomes.

From AI-driven underwriting and risk assessment to claims automation, anomaly detection, and smarter decision intelligence, the conversation highlighted how technology can move insurance from reactive processes towards more predictive, data-driven, and customer-centric operations.

We are proud to further strengthen our partnership with LOLC Life Assurance and LOLC General Insurance through the signing of this contract for their core insurance systems upgrade — powered by KGISL's AI-driven NSure Core Insurance Suite.

The Agreement with LOLC General was signed by Mr. Prassadh Shanmugam, Director & CEO, KGISL and Mr. Kithsiri Gunawardena, COO of LOLC Holdings and Chairman of LOLC General Insurance and the agreement with LOLC life was signed by Mr. Prassadh Shanmugam and Mr. Chandana L. Aluthgama, Executive Director of LOLC Life Assurance and Director of LOLC General Insurance, in the presence of Mr. Conrad Dias, Chairman of LOLC Finance PLC and Chairman of LOLC Technologies Pvt Ltd and Mr. Siriwardena Prasanna, CEO of LOLC Technologies Pvt Ltd.

At the heart of this transformation, AI-powered NSure 2.0 will be deployed with a configurable business logic layer governing underwriting decisions, claims routing, pricing calculations and compliance checks — all in real time, seamlessly across both Life and General lines. This upgrade will empower LOLC to launch new products in days, automate workflows end-to-end, and place business teams in direct control of rules, pricing and processes — without a single change to their existing core systems. The result: a sharper competitive edge and a superior experience for every policyholder.
