A Proud Tribute to 80 Years of India's Independence!

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus, proudly celebrated the 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026, bringing together students, faculty, and staff in a heartfelt tribute to our nation.

The celebration featured the National Flag Hoisting, inspiring speeches, patriotic songs, the Nasha Mukt Bharat pledge, sports prize distribution, a signature wall campaign, and a symbolic human chain, reflecting our shared commitment to unity, service, and nation-building. Together, we honoured the legacy of our freedom fighters and celebrated the enduring spirit of India.

Thaka Thei – Onam Celebrations 2026 | A Celebration to Remember
Thaka Thei – Onam Celebrations 2026 at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus was a vibrant celebration of Kerala's rich culture, tradition, and togetherness.
Beginning with the Curtain Raiser on 10 August 2026, followed by the grand celebrations on 13 & 14 August 2026, the campus came alive with colourful Pookalams, traditional performances, exciting games, cultural events, and the joyful spirit of Onam.

Two days of learning, reflection, and inner transformation for the faculty of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus.
From inspiring talks on Vedanta and Indian Knowledge Systems to moments of Ma-Om, Sangaganam, and meaningful interactions, the retreat brought together faculty in the spirit of holistic education.

Guru Purnima and Guru Vandanam Celebrations 2026
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus, celebrated Guru Purnima 2026 with devotion and reverence through Guru Purnima Celebration and Guru Vandanam theme based dance and music concerts. The celebrations featured Homam, Abhishekam, Bhajans, Aarathi, Sadsang and inspiring cultural performances—"Aham Brahmasmi" and "Guru Mahatmyam"—bringing together students, faculty, staff, and devotees in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
Salutations to the Guru, the eternal source of wisdom and inspiration.

Deeksharambh 2026 | Student Induction Programme for the freshers and parents
A warm welcome to the newest members of the Amrita family!
The Deeksharambh 2026 Student Induction Programme, held from 8th, 9th & 15th–21st and 23rd July 2026, introduced new B.Tech, Integrated M.Sc., B.A.,M.A, LAW and B.Sc. students to the values, culture, and academic life at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.
The programme featured inspiring talks by university leaders, sessions on academics, campus facilities, career opportunities, Universal Human Values (UHV), and creative activities, helping students begin their journey with confidence and purpose.

International Day of Yoga 2026
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus proudly celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga on 21 June 2026 with the theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing."
More than 800 participants including students, faculty, and staff came together to practice yoga, meditation, and pranayama through the Common Yoga Protocol. The event was blessed by Pujya Swami Tapasyamritananda Puri , Br. Matrukripamrita Chaitanya , and other esteemed guests.
Senior yoga practitioners Prof. Deepak Gupta, Adjunct Professor, Amrita School of Business, Prof. Shobhana Madhavan, Adjunct Professor, Amrita School of Business, Prof. Joshi C. Haran (Retd.), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, and Smt. Sundari, Former Principal, Amrita Vidyalayam were honoured for their lifelong dedication to yoga, inspiring everyone with their journey toward healthy and mindful living.
The celebration reflected Amrita's commitment to holistic education and the timeless values of yoga, promoting physical health, mental well-being, and inner peace.

The vibrant spirit of youth, culture, and creativity came alive at the AIU 39th Inter University National Youth Festival 2026, hosted at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, from 10th to 14th March 2026.

With participation from 142 universities and an impressive gathering of 2,963 students from across the nation, the festival stood as a grand celebration of talent, unity, and artistic excellence.

We are immensely proud to share that our students showcased outstanding performances in both Mimicry and Folk/Tribal Dance, securing Second Position in both events.

Their dedication, passion, and teamwork have brought great pride to our institution, reflecting the true spirit of cultural excellence and youthful energy.
