Good evening Members

CGST consultation meeting for MSMEs was held at the GST Bhavan, Race Course, Coimbatore, under the leadership of Chief commissioner CGST Hon’ble Shri Dinesh Rao Banger, IRS.

Representing CIA, Treasurer Mr. Paramasivam, Joint Secretary Mr. Maheshwaran, and EC Member Mr. Palanisamy participated in the meeting and presented the association’s key concerns and requests.

The meeting focused on our continued request for reduction of GST on job-work services from 18% to 5%, along with the need for expeditious review and resolution of pending notices faced by member companies.

CIA also requested the GST authorities to extend necessary support and guidance to MSME companies and work constructively with the industry to facilitate the growth of Coimbatore’s MSME sector.

During the meeting, the CIA MSME Industrial Development Book was also presented to the senior GST officials.

Hi Everyone,

Greetings from *Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (Dr. MCET).*

Yesterday, Dr. MCET, in association with EIC & MILA, successfully conducted a special programme to celebrate *World Entrepreneurship Day 2026* , with the objective of inspiring and encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit among our students.

We were delighted to have *Mr. Devakumar Nagarajan* , President – Chinnavedampatti Industrial Association (CIA), and *Mr. N. Jayakumar,* Vice President – CIA, as our Chief Guests.

The session was highly insightful and inspiring for our students. The dignitaries shared valuable experiences from their entrepreneurial journey and highlighted the importance of developing an entrepreneurial mindset, identifying opportunities, utilizing available resources, and taking the right steps towards becoming successful entrepreneurs.

As part of the programme, MSME Certificates were also distributed to our young entrepreneurs. The CIA representatives also expressed their willingness to extend mentoring support, industry networking, guidance, and future connections to our students and emerging entrepreneurs.

MILA – MCET Incubation and Innovation Launchpad Association continues to support startups and young entrepreneurs through incubation, mentoring, industry connect, networking, and other entrepreneurial support initiatives.

We sincerely thank CIA President Mr. Devakumar Nagarajan and Vice President Mr. N. Jayakumar for their valuable time, inspiring interaction, and kind assurance of continued support for our young entrepreneurs.

I am Mahesh Bhubathy G., Incubation Manager – MILA, Dr. MCET, and I am pleased to be part of this group. We look forward to building a strong association with CIA and exploring future collaborations, mentoring opportunities, industry connect, and support for our students and startups.

Today, at the Sankara College event, Mr. Parthiban Thangavel, MD,Macro Conveyors, CIA Member, participated as the Chief Guest and delivered an insightful session to students on Entrepreneurship Development and opportunities in the MSME sector.

His valuable interaction helped students understand the possibilities available in entrepreneurship, industry, and the MSME ecosystem.

At CIA, we are continuously working to promote youngsters and student development, entrepreneurship, industry exposure, and growth opportunities for the younger generation. We sincerely appreciate all our members and industrialists who extend their support and encouragement towards these initiatives.

The Gnanasabha 2026 – National Level Industrial-Academia Conclave 2026 held at Amrita University, Coimbatore, brought together eminent academicians and industry leaders for meaningful discussions on strengthening industry–academia collaboration and the future of industrial development.

Representing CIA, our Executive Committee Members Mr. A. K. Nagarajan, A. K. Industries, and Mr. Shanmuganathan, EXCL Engineering, actively participated and shared valuable perspectives on the opportunities and initiatives needed for the continued growth of Coimbatore’s industrial ecosystem.
