From Calcutta by train, there is an overnight train to New Jalpaiguri (NJP), from there take a taxi (Rs. 750) or take a shared jeep (Rs. 80-100) directly to Darjeeling. From Calcutta by bus, there is an overnight "Rocket Bus" every night that goes directly to Siliguri, from there take a taxi (Rs. 650) or take a shared jeep (Rs. 80-100) directly to Darjeeling.
