Shayon is a banker by profession with hands-on experience in Retail banking operations. Having worked in Public Sector for last 3 years, he has worked in uncovering limited financial facilities and thereby developed a deep understanding of rural market potential in India.

Shayon's dream is to explore the untapped slums in India and implement the fusion of banking and digitization to boost financial inclusion. Besides this, he's a firm believer of lean methodology and philosophy of "content is king". Creating meaningful stories to impact people and businesses is where his goal lies.

Eshan is a MBA student at XLRI Jamshedpur and has previously worked over the summer at Microsoft as Program Manager & part of substrate intelligence team. At Microsoft, he built platform for data scientists to resolve problems and delivered AI based solutions.

A computer science engineer from VIT, Eshan is an avid debater, a public speaker and has won multiple Toastmasters Best Speaker awards. He is passionate about Product Management and is currently working with an Ecommerce Start-Up.

Introducing Isha Agrawal as GGI 2020.

Isha is currently working as analyst at Bain & Company where she has worked in strategy consulting and development of cost transformation products.

An engineering graduate from NSIT, she was the founding member of 180 Degrees Consulting- a student consulting organisation focussed to support social impact ventures. As a student consultant she worked with and startups, and strived to be at center of creating sustainable impact. Isha is interested in the growing role of technology in terms of revolutionizing traditional ways of doing businesses. She also wants to ensure ethical use of technology to create conscious products and ecosystems.

Please join us in welcoming Bhavesh Jaglan to GGI Impact Lab as President, Delhi Technological University (Formerly DCE)

Bhavesh is a student of at Delhi Technological University with deep interest in International politics and finance. He chairs the -Russia and has served as the National VP of Youth with an endeavour to demystify and reconnect youth with the importance of how they can better serve the world. Bhavesh has represented India at the Youth Conference in Shanghai, China and is due to represent India in Moscow later in the year.

Being an army kid having extensively traveled across the country, he wishes and hopes to contribute to a more proactive participation of youth in the development of India- too often neglected in the country of his birth.

A GGI alumni, Umang was an active member of Global Youth, an apolitical, not-for-profit organisation looking to empower youth ambassadors during her undergrad days.

Currently, she is pursuing Masters in Public Policy from St. Xavier’s Mumbai, as she has always had a curiosity to know more about Indian system and policies impacting final outcomes. She is currently interning with Dr. Ashok Tanwar, Member of Parliament, and also working as an advisor to the ongoing existing policy initiatives in Haryana.

"Shortly after GGI, I gained admission into Indian Institute of Forest Management under Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change - in Sustainability Management. Post my graduation from St. Stephen's College, Delhi, I worked with Tata Tele Business Services to build marketing strategies. I realised importance of communication in the corporate world and was fortunate to attend the GGI prestigious management communication masterclass where my favourite Masterclass was on ' ’ in which I focused on how to overcome initial hurdles of conversing and networking with ease."

What change do you wish to see/make in this world?

"I want to remove the negative connotation from the word introvert. I want young people to realize their diverse energies and channelize it to fuel change, take up the responsibility of protecting the environment and work towards achieving dynamic equality."

What makes you smile?

"Lots and lots of books, watercolours, tea and of course, unchecked amounts of sugar!"

Welcoming Snehal Khandekar to GGI family as .

Snehal is an advertising major St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, India. She is a copywriter-turned-writer, whose work encompasses finance, cybersecurity, and the occasional travel or fashion. She writes on public policy and entrepreneurship through , and is currently a contributing writer with Qrius Creative Labs also. Her work has previously been published in DNA.

Snehal believes that art brings far greater changes than anything else can. Thus, she has been associated as a teacher with Salaam Baalak Trust Mumbai, which grooms street children for better futures. Her poetry has been published in multiple issues of indie magazines such as Verse of Silence. Her ultimate goal is to not just find ways to change the world through writing, but also inspire others to do the same. For her, an ideal world is where happiness is not a pursuit and art is not a privilege.

"Shortly after GGI, I won Singapore Stephanian scholarship and joined Incubation Centre at St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi, to develop entrepreneurial culture within the student community. Deeply influenced by GGI’s vision of up-skilling global youth to create positive impact, I also work with GGI as in public policy. The GGI masterclass introduced me to the field of policy consulting and definitely taught me the art of solving problems structurally."

What is the one change I want to see/make in this world?

"I want to make quality education and health care facilities accessible to people living at the grassroots level in India and am ready to dedicate my life to make this happen. I hope to see a world where people are more empathetic and are ready to go an extra mile for each other."

What makes me smile?

"If I can bring smile to someone’s face, it gives me the reason to smile too. Being able to create a small positive change in someone’s life leaves a lasting impact on me."

Ananya is a pre-final engineering student at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani where she is pursuing dual degree in Chemical Engineering and Physics. At BITS, she is also serving as Consulting Committee coordinator.

Professionally, she has worked under Commissioner- Mr. Shivendra Singh, Nagar Nigam on -Urban to improve star rating and drive garbage free cities in 2020. "Attending Policy Consulting Masterclass was a definite pit stop for me to enhance my problem solving skills, network with right people, approach challenges in a more structured fashion, engage better with stakeholders and come to more collaborative and creative solutions. I use these tools and techniques heavily today while working in government advisory at PwC, where we work with on major development policies around education, health and financial inclusion. Having previously interned with GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH, Teach For India and UNICEF during my under-grad at St. Stephen's College, Delhi, I was convinced of working in the impact sector."

What is the one change you want to see/ make in this world?

"A more engaged community is a change that I would like to see and be a part of. I hope we see a shift from a paternalistic to a participative approach towards development."

What makes you smile?

"Covid19 has made me acutely aware of this massive emotional privilege that I carry. So it's the company of my family and friends, and for sure tea, that fills me with happiness and comfort!"

Jayareshma is a pre-final year student at Shri Ram College of Commerce, pursuing Bachelor of Commerce Honors with an interest in consulting. Originally from the Lignite City of India - Neyveli, Jayareshma is currently working as a Business strategy intern at Asma Aadhar, a Delhi based Architectural firm. At SRCC, she also heads the cultural enrichment cell - FAS as Joint Secretary. On personal front, nothing excites her more than travelling and she dreams to travel to Antarctica someday.
