Crisis. Leadership. Media. Unfiltered

When an existential crisis hits, the pressure on leaders to act quickly and get it right is immense. Those decisions can define their reputation for years.

This episode of Comms and Conversations is on what leadership in crisis really looks like. Deepak Kapoor, former Chairman of PwC India, and Prosenjit Datta, former Editor of Business Today, speak with the kind of candour that only comes from having seen crisis up close, from both sides.

About Comms and Conversations - In these vodcasts, Nandini Chatterjee engages in insightful discussions with senior professionals in Marketing, Communications, PR and Media, exploring current trends and drawing from their wealth of experience to provide valuable insights.

We discuss:

• What Deepak has seen leaders get wrong in a crisis.
• The worst advice Pro has seen leaders get in a crisis.
• When reputation and financial imperatives collide, what actually guides the call.
• Does building relationships with media really help, and what is the best way to do that.
• Does advertising create pressure on journalists.
• Can stories be stopped.

A conversation full of perspectives that rarely surface this openly. Worth every minute.

Sad Loss for the PR Industry.

The PR fraternity is mourning the untimely demise of Mr. Bhaskar Majumdar, a respected leader, mentor and a true people’s person.

Known for his ability to bring people together, build meaningful relationships and contribute with warmth and sincerity, Mr. Mazumdar leaves behind a lasting impression on the industry and everyone who had the opportunity to know him.

His passing after a courageous battle with cancer is deeply heartbreaking. At a time like this, words feel inadequate.

Our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and the entire PR fraternity. His contributions and the relationships he built will be remembered with great respect.

May his soul rest in peace. 🙏
