In India, Teachers’ day is celebrated on 5th September for marking as a respect for the second President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan(born on 5 September 1888) in almost all government run and private schools and colleges. Students take initiative and responsibility of felicitating their teachers. Also in some schools, senior students take the responsibility of conducting classes on this day for showing appreciation for this Nobel cause. Also, teachers who have done exceptional work in their field are felicitated especially.
