TSC at CSC CSR Conclave 2026

We are proud to share that Dr. Swapna Mishra, CEO, Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC), participated as a Panelist at the CSC CSR Conclave 2026, organized by CSC ACADEMY under the theme “Together for Tomorrow.”

The Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC) was proud to be part of the International Seminar-cum-Weavers' Meet 2026 hosted by Assam University, Silchar, on 7 August 2026 under the theme "Skill, Scale and Sustain: Transforming India through Indian Knowledge Systems."

As Guest of Honour, Dr. Swapna Mishra, CEO, TSC, launched TSC's online skilling courses on the Learning Management System (LMS), reinforcing our commitment to empowering India's handloom workforce through accessible, future-ready skill development.

The event brought together academicians, master weavers, artisans, industry leaders, and international delegates, while celebrating India's rich textile heritage through technical sessions, exhibitions, and an inspiring ethnic fashion show.

Together, we continue weaving a stronger, skilled, and sustainable future for the handloom sector.

Together for a Cleaner Tomorrow! 🌱🧹

As part of Swachhata Pakhwada 2026 (16–31 July 2026), the Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC) team actively participated in a Swachhata Abhiyan around the TSC office premises in New Delhi, reinforcing our commitment to cleanliness, sustainability, and responsible citizenship.

Our staff came together to clean the surrounding area, demonstrating that small collective actions can create a lasting impact. This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE)'s vision of promoting cleanliness and environmental awareness across the skill ecosystem.

Bridging the Gap Between Skilling & Education

The Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC) was delighted to host Prof. Shome for an insightful discussion on strengthening the synergy between education and industry-relevant skilling.

The interaction focused on the growing importance of integrating vocational education with academic learning to build a future-ready workforce and create sustainable career pathways for learners.

We were also honored to receive and acknowledge Handbook of Vocational Education and Training, the recent publication co-authored by Prof. Samik Shome and Prof. Jagdish N. Sheth. The book is a valuable contribution to the evolving landscape of vocational education and skill development.

At TSC, we remain committed to fostering meaningful collaborations that bridge the gap between education and skilling, empowering learners with the knowledge, competencies, and industry readiness needed for tomorrow's workforce.
