Are you humble enough to ask yourself this Question until you can genuinely answer it?
========
Almost every week, I come across another passionate soul, who in the bid to make waves is CONFUSING...
ADRENALINE with PURPOSE
SPEED with PROGRESS
ACTIVITY with ACCOMPLISHMENT
I discovered that people are not all that interested in more than half of the goals they're chasing...
But because ABC is doing MNO and is getting XYZ results, they think they have go do the same thing also...
That's a huge Losing Formula!
One of the hardest questions I've had to truly answer is this:
"What do I really Want?"
I've asked this question very humbly and very deeply to many people, and many weren't able to genuinely answer it.
Most people have never settled down to give this enough thought...
I've had to ask myself, do I want to be an entrepreneur? Do I want a big company? Do I want a lot of staff? What the heck do I even really want?
It pains me to see that a lot of very genuine, hard working and committed people are hustling in the wrong direction...
Learning things they hate, to do things they don't like, to get to a destination they're not even excited about!
For most people, their only measuring yardstick is money...
So when the going gets tough, all hell is let loose, they detest the journey and the process to success... Because that's not even what they want in the first place.
So they give it minimum energy, which further reduces their success probability.
That is why, knowing what you truly want is so critical, just coming to that realization can set your soul on fire to execute, and increase your success probability.
In my Result Oriented Action System (ROAS) I call it...
OUTCOME CLARITY!
Don't be distracted by the activities, the strategies, the tools, the results - You always start mapping your plan from the OUTCOME.
Some people are posting regularly on Facebook, they don't even know the outcome they want, but because it seems like the thing to do today to be relevant in the Thought Leadership Space or together sell stuff on social media - they're doing it!
Some people have started a business because they heard "Fire your boss" or "Be your own boss" - they have no clarity of the outcome they want in the area of Finances, lifestyle and Contribution.
And please make no mistake, I'm not saying that you shouldn't post on social media, or be your own boss...
All of that can be cool as long as you know exactly what you want to accomplish, and the activities you're engaging in aligns with that outcome.
When you have clarity on the outcome, you stand a better chance at implementing the right strategy.
Guru A says this tomorrow you move, Guru B says this next week you shift, Guru Y gives a totally different opinion and you change your entire plan...
I've been there, and I can tell you that it's TIRING.
The way to avoid this, is to make sure that you're not working someone else's outcome and plan.
I've asked this question a couple of times that I sound like my loop feature is broken:
"Are your goals your goals? What do you really want?
