Today is the day when we celebrate those sweet as honey, tough as nails people we call "Mom"!

As parents we keep trying to encourage our children by giving them material things in the form of toys or stuff to eat.

We overlook that it is not always that children need these.
Their need may be emotional at that time .
A smile or a hug would have been more effective in encouraging them.
But unknowingly we teach that emotional needs can be coped with material things.
And as a result our children eat when in low mood, or demand a gift for their every achievement.

By changing our mindset we can encourage our children with a smile too 😊
