Now, CA students get wrong paper in Mum

Mumbai: The question paper goofup bug that plagued Mumbai University all through this exam season appears to have gone viral across the country. A nation-wide CA examination has now been delayed as the wrong question paper was given out in a city college on Monday.
The Information Technology and Strategic Management paper, which was to be held on Wednesday, has been pushed to May 24 as one centre at the Mittal College inadvertently gave it out to candidates on Monday instead of the Auditing and Assurance question paper. Close to 2.37 lakh students are taking the Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Course this year.
On Monday, exam supervisor Narendra Singhi and a CA exam observer posted at Mittal College reached a Bank of Baroda branch where the question papers are stored in a vault. “Instead of the PSK bundle, I was given the SMA bundle. But I did not check it,” Singhi told officials of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. After distributing the papers, some students told the authorities of the mistake, after which the officials took back the papers.
The decision is going to affect about 2, 37,000 students across the country.
