In progression to the consultative paper dated April 24, 2015 on overseas investment byVCFs and AIFs, SEBI on October 1, 2015 gifted AIF industry the long pending and most awaited guidelines dealing with overseas investment and other issues/clarifications for AIFs/VCFs.The guidelines has been issued vide circular no. CIR/MD/DF/7/2015 and is issued in consonance with the legal regime framed by the Reserve Bank of India in this regard.

The topmost news amongst the Listed companies and their KMPs is the promulgation of new SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (hereinafter referred to as LODR Regulations). The proposals of the conversion of existing listing agreements into a single comprehensive regulation for varied capital market instruments were into discussions since last year. Resultant to that, finally SEBI came up with the Regulations on 2nd September, 2015, with the objective to unify and consolidate various segments of capital market, thereby penning it down into one single document.

Fema Update : FDI allowed up to 100 % in While Label ATM Operations

The extant FDI Policy of 2015 has been revised by the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Government of India vide Press Note 11 issued on 1st October, 2015. In terms of the said Press Note, foreign investment is now permitted in While Label ATM Operations up to 100% under automatic route, subject to certain conditions.
