Regulatory Update

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has empowered Registrars of Companies (RoCs) to function as adjudicating officers for specified non-compliances under the Companies Act and the LLP Act.
With this development, RoCs can now directly examine defaults and levy penalties — bringing enforcement closer to the ground level.
