I had the honor of weaving tale with puppets on 21st March at Patna Book Festival 2025. The children and adults actively participated in the storytelling and sang along. Since it was a small group, everyone got an opportunity to hold and connect with a puppet.

A heartfelt thank you to the National Book Trust, India for organizing these fairs at different cities to spread the joy of books, reading and storytelling, and providing a platform for such interactive experiences!

Walking through the ancient ruins of Nalanda, I was captivated by the echoes of wisdom etched in stone. Upon learning that I am a storyteller, the guide eagerly led me to a special carving—the timeless tale of The Talkative Tortoise, a story that journeyed from the Panchatantra to the Jataka Tales.

The tale speaks of a tortoise who, unable to curb his chatter, falls to his fate while being carried by two birds. A lesson in the power of restraint, preserved for centuries. The mind which created the story, the hands that chiseled the story may have perished, but the stone endures—whispering wisdom to those who listen.

At the heart of Delhi Storytellers' Tribe (DST) is the belief that storytelling thrives on inquiry. We encourage the storyteller in us to embrace chaos, confront her stories fearlessly and dare to take risks.

This Day, as DST completes five years of fostering connections through stories, we are thrilled to invite you to join "Khanak", a workshop series designed for the storyteller in you, who's ready to explore beyond the current arcs and forms, challenge the aesthetic and seek a world of possibilities beyond convention.

This year's World Storytelling Day theme "Deep Water" Inspired us folks at Delhi Storytellers' Tribe to curate a series of workshops for our 'Annual Fundraiser- Stories Beyond Compassion' supporting free village community libraries.

Join us on 22nd and 23rd March to excavate the sound of stories and possibilities in varied art forms.

Happy World Storytelling Day 2025 !

You may register for the workshops at https://rzp.io/rzp/XyCSfrn

I’m so grateful to have been invited as the Chief Guest at Indraprastha International School Dwarka on the morning of March 1st for their Grandparents Day celebration. A big thank you to the school management for the kind invitation and the warm hospitality throughout the event. It was an incredible experience, and the children's performances were absolutely superb!

It was heartwarming to see how the grandparents were truly celebrated- with touching poetry and presentation as well as a sumptuous buffet paid out specially for them. What appealed to me was that only Grandparents were allowed that day, no parents! Parents could watch the performance live from their homes or offices. How unique!

Interacting with the Director Rajeev Hasija ji, the Principal, HM Ravinder Anand Ma’am and staff was truly amazing; it was an opportunity to see firsthand the dedication and commitment that reflects the school's strong culture and values. I felt so honored to be part of such a memorable day. Thank you for making it so special for me!

On the evening of March 1st, 2025, I had the honor of being the Chief Guest at the Annual Function of Arwachin International School, themed ā€œą¤®ą¤® भारतम.ā€ This theme beautifully celebrated India's diverse culture and its growing global significance, seamlessly blending tradition with modernity. The event reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing not only academically proficient students but also culturally aware and socially responsible individuals. Special thanks to Principal Ruchira Bhatnagar for her warm invitation to be a part of this.

The first branch of Arwachin was founded by the visionary Shri Shriniwas Sharma in 1969. The school continues to thrive through the leadership of Mr. Arun Sharma, Chairman, and Ayushi Sharma, Director, who have both strengthened its foundation with unwavering values. Remarkably, the fourth generation of the founding family is currently studying in the same school. It speaks volumes for the belief of Directors in their school.

As I interacted with the Directors, I learnt that the first branch of the school was originally founded out of necessity due to the lack of nearby educational facilities. The school believes in building, cherishing and honouring relationships, in accordance with the Indian culture and values. The school’s first teacher and Principal—now 92 years old—continues to play an active role, and is deeply respected by the current leadership. The Directors honor her legacy with regular visits to ensure her well-being as well.

The children’s performance, themed "Bharat," was a captivating portrayal of India’s culture, told through the eyes of an exchange student. The carefully selected songs and dances highlighted India’s warmth in relationships, especially the respect for parents, grandparents, and extended family.

A delightful personal touch was a surprise meeting with Ashutosh and Meghna (and their parents) whose son is also a student at the same school. Their excitement on seeing me added a special charm to the evening.

Thank you, Arwachin International School, for your warm welcome. It was truly an unforgettable experience, and I am deeply honored to have been the Chief Guest. Your kindness made this occasion truly memorable!

A big shout out to RJ Neelakshi - RJ Neelakshi has walked many paths before finding her calling as an RJ, and it shows in the way she connects with people. What struck me most was her genuine curiosity—she doesn’t just ask questions, she truly listens. She catches the emotion behind the words, making every conversation feel personal and real. There’s no script, no formula—just an open heart and a deep interest in the person in front of her. She even chooses interview backdrops that resonate with each guest, adding another layer of meaning. Talking to her felt effortless, like chatting with an old friend. Her passion and energy are infectious, and she left a mark on me.

I am incredibly grateful to United Way Mumbai and Geetanjali Shetty Kaul for allowing me to be a part of their inspiring initiatives, where every step towards positive change brings true joy and fulfillment.

On March 3, 2025, I had the wonderful opportunity to conduct three storytelling sessions for the bright young minds at Govt Boys Primary School, organized by United Way Mumbai. 🌟 It was an enriching and inspiring experience as I shared two beautiful stories: The Magic Powder- A Folktale from Myanmar by Pratham Books, written by Greystroke and illustrated by P.G. Dinesh with Grades 3,4,5. This story highlighted the power of hard work, persistence, and the pursuit of a better future.

The students of Grades 1 & 2 loved the sounds and characters in ā€œą¤Ÿą¤Ŗ-टप-ą¤Ÿą¤Ŗą¤•ā€ by Pratham Books, written by Amar Goswami and illustrated by Partho Sengupta. The story aimed at building self esteem by reminding everyone that the smallest among us can be brave and achieve great things. The students were fully engaged and brimming with excitement throughout the session.

A heartfelt thank you to United Way Mumbai for making this possible and for the incredible work they do to promote reading in communities. A special shoutout to Geetanjali Shetty Kaul for her unwavering support and for inviting me to be a part of this memorable day!

I had the most magical time with Tia as she explored Jaipur during the Jaipur Literature Festival!🌟

From the stunning Hawa Mahal to the bustling local markets and shops, Tia was in awe of all the colours, sights, and sounds.🌈 She shopped for indigo dresses and suits, a dark pink sharara, and a lovely yellow dress.šŸ‘— She even experienced her very first auto ride!šŸš– And of course, we couldn’t leave without doing some jutti shopping—Tia’s feet have never been so stylish!šŸ‘”

Every moment was a new adventure, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share these special firsts with you all! šŸ’–
