MEPSC MEPSC is being promoted by All India Management Association (AIMA), the apex body of management profession in India as its sole promoter. Mr.

ills Council, MEPSC is committed to create technically and professionally competent workforce and industry professionals for both national and international markets. A large percentage of Indian graduates are unemployable for lack of skills both technical and generic required by the employers. While most of the candidates get hired on the basis of their technical skills, they often get fired for lack of generic skills. It is the set of Generic/ Behavioural/ Soft/ Employability Skills that makes a difference to the productivity of the individual. MEPSC is targeting to train and certify approximately 4.75 lakhs trainees, develop and frame 50 Qualifications Packs (QPs)/National Occupational Standards (NOS), and train more than 550 Trainers over next 10 years. Skill development initiatives will be undertaken in four key segment domains of Professional Skills; Entrepreneurship Skills; Office Management Skills and Training Skills. Innovation will be a prerequisite in ensuring right skills and employment to the youths to meet their aspirations. Unemployed youth, who cannot get employment for variety of reasons need to look at entrepreneurship as an option for gainful engagement. With advancement in technology and shrinking jobs, entrepreneurship is the way forward which needs to be optimally utilised to achieve the stated mission of Skilled India. Yet another purpose of MEPSC is to focus on job roles which are not sector/industry specific and are functions which are common across sectors. Candidates trained and certified by MEPSC for these roles would be mobile and can move from one sector to another. MEPSC shall be leading skill development initiatives in four key segments namely:-
Professional Skills
Entrepreneurship Skills
Office Management
Training & Assessment

The Skills Council is being steered by senior industry captains and experienced thought leaders. Mr Sunil Kant Munjal, Sr Vice President, AIMA and Joint Managing Director Hero MotoCorp Ltd is leading this initiative as Chairman of the Council. Munjal is also a member of Prime Minister's Council on Trade & Industry and has been involved in areas of skill development, vocational training, CSR and tribal development. Col Anil Kumar Pokhriyal (retd) is the Chief Executive Officer of MEPSC. The MEPSC Board is comprised of several equally renowned and experienced business leaders, academicians, NSDC, AIMA and Ministry officials

International Net Zero Summit | Goa – Day 1 Highlights

MEPSC, in collaboration with IICSR and Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI), successfully inaugurated the International Net Zero Summit (INZS) 2026 on 22nd January 2026 at Taj Vivanta, Panjim, Goa.

The Summit was inaugurated by Mr. Krishna V. Salkar, Chairman – South Goa Planning & Development Board and MLA, Vasco, Goa, as the Chief Guest. INZS 2026 serves as a flagship global sustainability and climate action platform, convening policymakers, industry leaders, academia and key stakeholders from domestic and international ecosystems to foster deeper engagement in building a robust Net Zero vision for India.

Over the next days (22–24 January 2026), the Summit will feature high-level academic research papers, plenary sessions, thematic discussions, B2B and B2G interactions, and showcases of innovation and best practices, aimed at strengthening collaborative action, policy alignment and industry-led solutions for India’s transition to a Net Zero economy.

Senior government representatives, industry captains, domain experts and institutional leaders from Central Ministries, State Governments, PSUs, corporates, academic institutions and international organisations are participating, making INZS 2026 a significant milestone in India’s journey towards achieving its Net Zero commitments and the broader vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.

Sharing glimpses from Day 1 of the Summit, capturing powerful conversations, thought leadership and collective commitments towards accelerating sustainable development goals, climate action and a future-ready, green workforce for India.
