Building as an Extension of Terrain

Human habitation depends upon flat surfaces. Every activity we perform sleeping, eating, working, gathering, requires a level plane. Rooms, regardless of their shape, ultimately exist as flat platforms enclosed by walls and covered by roofs. On level ground, expansion is straightforward.
