Xylem's SonTek team has documented a workflow that collapses all of that into one AI-driven step โ€” upload a ZIP of cast files, run a structured prompt, get back a publication-quality EC, salinity, or temperature transect.

The shift isn't just speed. It's GPS-based positioning instead of assumed file order, iteration on the riverbank instead of back at the office, and spotting stratification or anomalies before leaving the site.
