GOKARNA is situated on the banks of Arabian sea, Gokarna literally meaning Cow’s Ear and is a temple town in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. It is believed that Lord Rudra (another name for Shiva) was sent to Patalaloka by Brahma (the creator) to undergo penance. He eventually emerged from the ear of a cow and hence the name GOKARNA. It is also called "BHOO KAILASAM". GOKARNA is a tow

GOKARNA is a famous pilgrimage center as well as a tourist attraction for those who want to explore cultural heritage and beauty of nature. Gokarna finds its reference in a number of Hindu historical literature. GOKARNA is acclaimed as MUKTHI KSHETRA, the place where Hindus come to perform their obsequies after the death of a person. GOKARNA is surrounded by natural beauty of five beaches namely Gokarna beach, Kudle beach, Om beach, Half moon beach and Paradise beach. One of the historical, ancient and wonderful pond Kotiteertha has.. Most importantly this is not a place to travel in hurry. GOKARNA is not a place to travel in Hurry. ಹಿಂದೂಗಳ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಯಾತ್ರಾ ಸ್ಥಳ ಗೋಕರ್ಣದಲ್ಲಿಯ (ಗೋಕರ್ಣ ಮಂಡಲ ದ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ತ್ರಯಃ ತ್ರಿಂಷತ್ ಕೋಟಿತೀರ್ಥ ದೇವತಾ) ಪವಿತ್ರ ಕೋಟಿತೀರ್ಥದ ದುಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಗೋಕರ್ಣದ ಕಳಸಪ್ರಾಯವಾಗಿರುವ ಸಾರ್ವಭೌಮ ಮಹಾಬಲನ ಹುಂಡಿ ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಇವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರನ ನಿಲುವುಗಳು ಏನಿರಬಹುದಿತ್ತು?
