Job Description – Accounts Head
Location: As per company requirement
Reporting To: Management / Director
Role Overview
The Accounts Head will be responsible for end-to-end financial accounting, statutory compliance, banking
coordination, and internal financial control of the organization. The role requires hands-on expertise in Tally and
strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Income Tax, along with ownership of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual
financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
● Preparation and monitoring of Daily Financial Reports (DFR)
● Checking and verification of purchase, sales, bank entries, and journal vouchers in Tally
● Bank reconciliation and review of bank statements
● Monitoring of manufacturing journal entries and inventory in Tally
● Review of customer purchase orders and issuance of purchase orders to vendors
● Monitoring dispatch quantity versus PO quantity
● Approval and control of online payments
● Verification of employee reimbursement claims and preparation of payment plans
● Preparation of monthly bank stock statements
● Finalization of monthly Profit & Loss Account
● Review of wages and salary sheets
● Deposit and compliance of EPF and ESIC
● Finalization of monthly TDS and GST returns (GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B)
● Filing of quarterly TDS returns
● Handling statutory and tax audits
● Handling insurance matters and Labour Welfare Fund payments
● Preparation of annual balance sheet
● Filing of Income Tax Returns, Tax Audit Reports, ROC returns, and Annual GST return
● Regular coordination and dealings with banks, auditors, and statutory authorities
Key Skills & Competencies
● Strong working knowledge of Tally
● In-depth understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, EPF, ESIC, and ROC compliances
● Experience in manufacturing accounting and inventory control
● Ability to independently handle audits and statutory filings
● Strong analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills
● High level of accuracy, integrity, and compliance orientation
Qualification & Experience
Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter / CA (preferred)
Experience: Minimum 6–8 years of relevant accounting and compliance experience, preferably in manufacturing or trading organizations
Salary - 50,000 to 60,000 per months
