Every AI model needs one thing before anything else: power. The race to build AI is quickly becoming a race to find it.

At Climate Week NYC 2026, ReNew launched Powering the AI Age: India's Next Export Opportunity at the US-India roundtable hosted by the Consulate General of India, New York.

The idea at its centre is simple. India does not need to export electrons. It can export the value they create.

Three pathways stand out:
Green Compute - Indian renewable power serving global AI and cloud workloads
Green Molecules - green hydrogen and ammonia for industry in Europe, Japan and Korea
Energy Transition Infrastructure - the transformers, batteries and electrolysers both economies depend on
