As the CEO of “The Recruiters”, Shantanu guides and executes the overall strategic vision of building the company as one of the leading firms in the area of Executive Search, HR Consulting & HR Outsourcing in India. He has around two decades of experience in Human Resources in companies spanning Manufacturing, Hospitality & ITES Sectors. He has strong experience in setting up HR departments and putting in place HR Processes and systems. He has also been a pioneer in setting innovative recruitment practices in leading ITES companies. He spent the first five years of his career in the HR function of a Fortune 500 company, ABB where he was given an independent HR Head role by the age of 25 for an ABB - Birla JV. He then moved on to Oberoi Hotels to head HR for their Agra Hotel, Trident. He was also part of the start-up team at Daksh where he was awarded the Daksh leadership award in the year 2001 for helping grow the company from 200 to 2000 employees in 6 months. He later went on to Head HR for the BFI Business Units at Daksh. He set up the HR systems and processes and hired around 1000+ employees in his next stint at Global Vantedge as well which was a Chrys Capital Company before Heading HR for Astra Global a Westbridge Capital Company. The experience of more than ten thousand interviews, a deep understanding of the requirements of diverse sectors from manufacturing to services and a passion to build something ground up resulted in the creation of “The Recruiters” in the year 2004. Since then, this Executive Search Firm, "The Recruiters" has worked with hundreds of companies and helped fulfill their niche middle and senior management hiring requirements with precision and quality. "The Recruiters" has also managed complex HR Consulting Projects for various clients. These include HR Policy Making, Setting up HR Systems and Processes, Conducting 360 Degree Appraisal for the Top Management, and preparing a report for submission to the Board of Directors, etc. The team that supports Shantanu has huge experience in this area, is very motivated, hard-working and quality focussed. Shantanu holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and a master's degree in Business Administration. He is also the author of the book "Fight for Life" available globally on Amazon
where he writes about a major, near-fatal health issue he recovered from.
