Every year, World Women's Day or International Women's Day celebrates a different subject, and in 2022, the United Nations will highlight the direct impact of climate change on women's lives, as well as women who are making significant contributions to climate change. The United Nations' theme for International Women's Day in 2022 is "Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow." There is proof of the impact of gender equality on the looming climate problem with sufficient research and data. The climate catastrophe has been described as a women's concern. The climate issue disproportionately affects the most disadvantaged and people, and women are among those who have been identified as being particularly vulnerable to the effects of climate change. When sanitation systems are harmed as a result of diminishing resources, they face increasing health and safety issues, even natural calamities effects woman more than men.
Women are not only the victims of climate change; they are also the change makers who have been involved in various climate change adaptation efforts. Let us highlight the needs of all women who have been directly impacted by the environment and society as a whole on this Women's Day. Let us support small-scale female farmers by sponsoring women-led organizations, fight for equal pay for women and men, and create a society where "equality for all" is a reality. On International Women's Day, we reject prejudice and stand up for what is right.
