Job Title: Diploma Engineer – Electrical (Rooftop Solar Projects)

About the Role
We are looking for a Diploma Engineer in Electrical Engineering with hands-on field experience in solar power plant installations. The role is based in Aizawl, Mizoram and will primarily involve supervision of rooftop solar installations under the PM Suryaghar scheme, along with maintenance and troubleshooting of commissioned systems.

Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Installation
• Supervise on-site installation of rooftop solar PV systems across residential and commercial sites.
• Ensure proper mounting structure installation, module placement, and alignment.
• Oversee DC and AC wiring, cable routing, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
• Ensure installation of inverters, net meters, and associated electrical components as per design and standards.
• Coordinate with installation teams, contractors, and vendors for timely ex*****on.

2. Quality Control & Compliance
• Ensure all installations comply with applicable standards, DISCOM guidelines, and PM Suryaghar scheme requirements.
• Verify adherence to approved drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain installation quality records.

3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of rooftop solar systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to:
• Inverters
• DC/AC cabling
• Generation performance
• Communication/monitoring systems
• Ensure timely rectification of faults and minimal system downtime.
• Maintain service logs and maintenance reports.

4. Testing & Commissioning Support
• Assist in testing and commissioning of solar PV systems.
• Perform basic electrical tests such as insulation resistance, continuity, and polarity checks.
• Support synchronization and net metering processes.

5. Coordination & Reporting
• Coordinate with customers, project team, and local authorities.
• Maintain daily progress reports and site documentation.
• Track material usage and report shortages or requirements.
• Provide technical support and basic guidance to customers regarding system operation.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Experience
• 1-2 years of field experience in installation of solar power plants (preferably rooftop systems).
• Experience working with residential and small commercial solar projects is preferred.

Required Skills
• Good understanding of rooftop solar PV systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and layouts.
• Basic troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel within Aizawl and nearby areas for site visits.

• Experience in government solar schemes (especially PM Suryaghar).
• Self-driven with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously.

Compensation
• We are willing to pay a fixed salary of 25000 in hand. DA will be paid over and above the fixed salary. Accommodation will be provided in our guest house.
