Co-Working Space Set To Boom In India

Co- working spaces are set to embark on a new growth graph. A survey by Regus , “Global Workspace Provider” indicates that in India, 74 per cent of the respondents opined that co-working spaces afforded them inspiration through shared skills or experience. The survey covered more than 44,000 business people in over 100 countries
Forty nine per cent respondents felt that cafes are fine for checking emails, but not for writing responses, while 39 per cent found cafes suitable to send short replies or queries but not for sustained long working.
Interestingly 39 per cent accepted car to make phone calls, but just one in 10 preferred using a private vehicle to make a conference call. 41 per cent found public transport suitable for checking emails and for a quick short response. For serious work tasks involving 2 to 6 hours, 23 per cent needed business oriented work space.
For work flexibility and commuting, the business people prefer nearby work place. A large majority found conventional meeting rooms monotonous and demeanor. The preference clearly tilts towards co-working spaces.

SMALL CITY STARTUP SHY OF CO - WORKING SPACES

Society Uplift Oriented people are preferring to convert their premises in prime locations into Co –Working spaces – with an endeavor to give a launch pad to financially weaker segment of brilliant minds in the local neighborhood. Aim plus is, to give impetus to self-employed skilled manpower daring to come together to realize and develop innovative ideas, and creating a segment called “ co-working community”.
Co- working spaces in cities like Bengaluru, Goa, Mumbai Gurugaon, Delhi, Noida, Hyderabad and Navi Mumbai, have found acceptance from the startups and aspiring entrepreneurs . However, the trend is at very nascent stage in cities like Chandigarh , Mohali, Panchkula , infact, whole North of Delhi. The main reason to my mind is lack aptitude to gauge the tremendous business potential these spaces offer.
