Byadagi is a town in Haveri district in the state of Karnataka. The town is famous for the red byadagi chilli. The surrounding areas of byadagi produce chilli. The business involving byadagi chillis has the second largest turnover among all chilli varieties of India. Byadagi chillis are primarily sold of the byadagi chilli market annual sales are about ruppes 3 billion ($75 million) this market attracts trades from all over Karnataka and from neighboring Andra Pradesh.
