Great learning isn’t about creating more courses. It’s about creating meaningful behavior change.

A learner-first approach shifts the focus from “What should we teach?” to “What should learners do differently?”

From challenge → behavior change → impact, Learning Experience Design puts the learner at the center.

Swipe through to see how a behavior-first approach can transform learning experiences.

Your portfolio should prove impact, not just design skills.

A strong L&D portfolio goes beyond showcasing what you created. It shows what changed because you created it.

Highlight the journey from:
1. Creative solutions
2. Measurable outcomes
3. Real-world value
4. Stronger learning cultures

Don’t just show your work. Show the impact behind it.

What’s the one thing every L&D portfolio should demonstrate?

What will define learning & development in 2026?

The future of L&D isn't about doing more; it's about doing what delivers real impact.

Here are three shifts every L&D professional should be watching:

1. AI Becomes the Default
AI is transforming how learning is designed, personalised, and delivered.

2. Metrics That Matter
Success is no longer measured by completion rates alone; business outcomes and behaviour change take centre stage.

3. Skills Over Titles
Organisations are prioritising capabilities and continuous skill development over traditional job roles.

The question is: Is your L&D strategy future-ready?

💬 We'd love to hear your thoughts. Which trend do you think will have the biggest impact on workplace learning?

From Job Title to Skill Set: The ID Role is Being Redefined
The role of an Instructional Designer (ID) is evolving faster than ever.

AI is transforming how we create learning experiences, accelerating storyboards, generating assessments, and streamlining content development.

But while AI can speed up production, it cannot replace what truly drives impactful learning:
1. Human insight
2. Critical thinking
3. Performance consulting
4. Learner empathy
5. Business alignment
The future of instructional design isn't about competing with AI; it's about collaborating with it.

As technology reshapes our profession, success will depend less on mastering individual tools and more on building adaptable, future-ready skills.

How has your role as an instructional designer changed over the past two years?

MYTH: People need more information.
REALITY: People need more confidence to act.

In Learning Experience Design, it's easy to assume that adding more content will improve learning outcomes. But in reality, learners often already have access to information.
The bigger challenge is helping people feel confident enough to apply what they know in real-world situations.

As Learning Designers, our role isn't just to deliver knowledge. It's to design learning experiences that build capability, confidence, and action.
