As per the concepts of Gamification and Psychology, Human behavior could be altered by changing the community behavior in totality. An individual's behavior is very restricted to a particular community's behavior, thus reducing the number of offsets in the community. As per Harvard's study of Human Behavior Initiative by Dr. David Laibson, the best solution to combat any behavioral issue is to tar
get the community as a whole rather than the individuals. With these concepts in mind, We launched India's First Peer-learning platform called Closed-circuit( a joint venture between Dream Slate and Jelly Glass). The sole aim of this project is to create a community change to aspire students to create a meaningful impact on their careers. The vision of the platform is to create a network of hyper-local student bodies so that effective sharing of information can happen. Since the entire platform is administered by administration at colleges and at industry, there would be complete privacy in the platform. The platform boasts of industry experts, researchers, and highly esteemed institutions to guide the students in their respective career paths and help them make better career decisions. These units are college centric and cannot be accessed by any third party. Thus ensuring complete privacy and no threat of data lost. The platform offers 1 TB of Cloud storage to each student. The platform serves the following functions:
1. Because of the peer-learning, students are better aware of the hyper-local activities in the college and the surrounding areas. With this feature, the missed opportunities per student rate has dropped by 76 %.
2. As we wish to have various industry experts, researchers and associated institutes pitching information into the system, students will be better informed and the track to achieve a successful career path would be faster and easier. With these feature, students would be taking better career decisions.
3. This platform also works as a alumni management portal, thus increasing employment opportunities to the current batch.
4. The information available on the platform will be monitored by college admins, thus ensuring administered communication.
5. The platform would act like an educational information sharing bulletin so that no information is missed by any student. The platform has features wherein previously assigned accounts (consultants/mentors/researchers, etc) would have the flexibility to post information/opinions/advise to each of the college platforms. Thus, in turn ensuring faster and credible information sharing among the student community so that the student can make better informed decisions about their careers and studies.
