A wall of little worlds - colored glass arches for our client

Inspired by Moroccan and Islamic design, this panel is made from dozens of individually chosen colored glass pieces'; each one cut, refined, and arranged by hand.

The design is held together with traditional lead channels, soldered at every joint, then cemented and polished for durability and depth.

Soon, 9 of these will sit along a corridor of our client's residence, casting shifting colours across the surroundings as the sun moves.

Behind the scenes into the making of colored glass mosaic panels

commissioned this glass mosaic panel for a private residence; reflecting their focus on bespoke, hand-crafted elements.

Every piece of glass was individually cut, ground, polished and fused to form the bird motifs, set within a muted, gilded grid that frames both the foreground and background.

From a distance, it reads as one seamless form. Up close, itโ€™s hundreds of individual elements working together to add a touch of timeless, hand-made detail to the space.
