तस्माद्वा एतस्मादात्मन आकाशः सम्भूतः ।
आकाशाद्वायुः । वायोरग्निः । अग्नेरापः ।
अद्भ्यः पृथिवी । पृथिव्याः ओषधयः ।
ओषधिभ्योऽन्नम् । अन्नात्पुरुषः ॥
“From that Self (Ātman), space (ākāśa) was born;
From space, air (vāyu) came to be;
From air, fire (agni) arose;
From fire, water (āpaḥ) was produced;
From water, earth (pṛthivī) emerged;
From earth, plants (oṣadhayaḥ) grew;
From plants, food (annam) came;
And from food, the human being (puruṣaḥ) was formed.”

rooting the soul in textures that speak of permanence and place.

but a watchtower for the community,
a timeless haven where families gather, friendships blossom and memories linger like echoes in the breeze.
