Position: Data Analyst

Description:
- Capture details about data such as meaning, relationships to other data, origin, usage, and format.
- Support data analysis, data mapping and validation with business and t Anechnology partners, documentation, and testing.
- Participate in requirements analysis and the gathering of metadata specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Partner with development teams to identify and define data model requirements.
- Document data specifications and requirements describing solutions to achieve information requirements.
- Conduct data profiling of source content including source system analysis.
- Conduct on-going analysis of the business, operating practices, and processes to create process maps and data flow diagrams in order to identify improvement opportunities that are aligned with the strategic objectives.
- Create documentation that identifies physical data flows and isolates unique business activities to be used for various purposes including identifying potential data quality issues, opportunities for process improvements and capturing data mapping details (business metadata).
- Create graphical representations of the flow of information or documents in designated business or application specific processes.
- Document business metadata, maintain metadata and capture data retention and security requirements, as needed, at the element level.
- Ensures standards and best practices are followed in the creation of data mapping documents.
Metadata Management:
- Maintain business and technical metadata using the Corporate Metadata Repository following standards defined for the FTI organization.
- Identify and classify data within subject areas to enable business partners and technologists to manage the context as well as the content in information systems.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- May be required to travel to Franklin - Templeton offices, customer or vendor locations
