To strengthen last-mile digital financial inclusion services, BASICS Ltd. has designed and developed a Technical Troubleshooting Handbook for BC Sakhis & DigiPay Sakhis across Assam.

The handbook has been developed as a practical, field-oriented resource to support women-led alternate banking channels in handling day-to-day technical and transactional challenges more effectively. Available in both English and Assamese, it simplifies complex troubleshooting processes into easy, actionable guidance for frontline teams.

The initiative aims to:

Field inspection conducted at the upcoming Block Level Goat Aggregation Center of Goatwell Producer Company Limited at Manegaon, Bhandara District, under the Goat Value Chain Development initiative.

The visit focused on reviewing construction progress, infrastructure planning, and quality standards of the aggregation center. The site was found suitable for goat aggregation activities, with construction progressing satisfactorily as per the planned timeline.

The inspection was led by the CEO, BASICS Consulting Mr. Raghuram Bhallamudi, along with the IDS Head Mr. Suneel Vemu , Project team, BoDs, and VLC representatives. Key recommendations included timely completion of work, strengthening site supervision, and ensuring proper drainage, ventilation, sanitation, water, and electricity facilities for efficient and safe operations.

Shakti Farmer Producer Company (FPC), promoted by Bhartiya Samruddhi Investments and Consulting Services Ltd. as aCBBO, has been conferred with the Best FPO Award 2026 by the Lucknow Management Association (LMA). The recognition highlights the FPCโ€™s strong contribution to farmer income enhancement, rural entrepreneurship, and sustainable practices.

The award was presented during LMAโ€™s annual event held at Hotel Grand JBR on March 25, 2026. Bablu Sharma, Chairman of Shakti FPC, received the honour from Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Shakti FPC has gained recognition for its innovative approach to value addition through eco-friendly cow dung-based products. By transforming traditional resources into marketable goods, the FPC has created alternative income streams for farmers while promoting environmentally sustainable practices.
