Human Connection: The core of street portraiture.

The portrait strips away all that visual noise and the busy background clutter.

Thanks Vikas Kumar Padala for the working still.

Blast from the past.

Before the final shots, there’s the raw process.

Years ago, to push my photographic eye beyond standard rules, I went straight to the classical masters. Armed with tracing paper, pencil lines, and study notes laid over paintings like Géricault’s The Raft of the Medusa, I spent years decoding lines of action, movement, and emotional weight.

Eventually, all those physical schematics turned into a split-second mental checklist behind the viewfinder. Every frame became a game of composition.

Stumbled across these old study sheets tucked inside 1001 Paintings You Must See Before You Die while searching for something else—had to share before I lost them again ;)
