Sometimes, the most meaningful part of an exhibition is the conversation that happens beyond the stall.

Recently, Happy Ingkhol had the opportunity to participate in the Samridh Mega Expo in Gujarat, representing the Northeast as part of the NEDFi team.

With exhibitors from government institutions, organisations, and businesses, the expo brought together diverse ideas and stories. But what stayed with us most was the curiosity of the school students who visited our stall.

They asked questions. They shared their thoughts. They wanted to understand our work and the traditions behind it. ๐Ÿ’š

Every child deserves the opportunity to discover new ideas, explore different possibilities, and reconnect with the knowledge, culture, and traditions of their own communities.

Because when curiosity is given a platform, it can grow into ideas, purpose, and a better future.

Every bottle of Happy Ingkhol Kokthao (Hair Oil) carries a process rooted in traditional knowledge, patience, and care. ๐ŸŒฑ

Our journey begins with the careful collection of raw materials, followed by weighing each ingredient to maintain the right balance. The ingredients are then thoroughly washed and prepared before the decoction process begins, gently extracting the medicinal properties from the plants.

The plant extracts are then carefully blended with sesame oil, allowing the traditional ingredients to come together. Finally, after a careful extraction process, the finished Kokthao is ready.

From raw materials to the final product, every step is done with intention, respect for traditional knowledge, and love for what we create.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined and made the โ€œAmuraba Yelhou Hidak Initiativeโ€ a meaningful success. ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฟ

Organised by Happy Ingkhol and Henry Martyn Institute, International Centre for Research, Interfaith Relations and Reconciliation (HMI), in collaboration with Apunba Manipur Maiba Maibi Phurup (AMMMP) and Centre for Conservation, Sustainability and Technology (CCST) โ€“ Midas Touch, this initiative was a celebration of our rich traditional knowledge and our shared responsibility towards nature.

From planting Chenghi Machal and other medicinal plants to learning from the wisdom of our traditional healers, every moment reflected our commitment to preserving our heritage for future generations.

Together, we are not just planting trees, we are nurturing tradition, protecting indigenous knowledge, and inspiring a healthier tomorrow.

Thank you for being a part of this journey. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š
