Mission Zero Garbage Source segregation is key to successful implementation of proper Municipal Solid Waste Management.

To begin with let us propagate the importance of home composting. Imphal Municipal Council (IMC) has effected the Imphal Municipal Council (Cleanliness & Sanitation) Byelaws, 2011 from 4th April 2012. The basic objective of this Bye-Laws is to provide proper norms for civic behaviour. Under the provisions of this Bye-Laws, violation of such norms will attract fines from all types of generators of

waste, be it individual or owner of a property or an institution or a commercial or industrial complex. Through this page, IMC solicits co-operation from general public in reporting instances of unattended garbage/ waste within IMC area as comments or photographs giving details of the place, so that we can take up appropriate action within a specific timeframe. Please do not post abusive/ objectionable comments or pictures on this page.
