To begin with let us propagate the importance of home composting. Imphal Municipal Council (IMC) has effected the Imphal Municipal Council (Cleanliness & Sanitation) Byelaws, 2011 from 4th April 2012. The basic objective of this Bye-Laws is to provide proper norms for civic behaviour. Under the provisions of this Bye-Laws, violation of such norms will attract fines from all types of generators of
waste, be it individual or owner of a property or an institution or a commercial or industrial complex. Through this page, IMC solicits co-operation from general public in reporting instances of unattended garbage/ waste within IMC area as comments or photographs giving details of the place, so that we can take up appropriate action within a specific timeframe.
