Decade's biggest hiring slowdown coming ahead?

The recent blogs of many economist pages claimed that most American companies including Microsoft, Facebook ( Meta ), Google, and Apple are reducing their hiring ahead due to fear of recession and global supply chain issues.

Vidya Sagar Gannamani, Chairman and Managing Director, Adecco India said, the industry feared a slowdown in tech hiring in the coming quarters.

“Owing to global macroeconomic factors like geopolitical uncertainty and expected economic slowdown in many markets, we are expecting a slowdown in tech hiring in India in the coming quarters,’‘ he said.

However, it is still not sure what would be the impact of the global slowdown on growing economies like India. It is expected that Indian tech companies who have the major clientele in the USA will see that impact in the second quarter whereas the quarterly numbers of Indian listed companies show that there is still a negligible impact of the global recession.
