Jam Gate or Jam Darwaza is a getaway separating the Nimar plains and Malwa platue.
Jam Gate itself is not an architectural spectacle, but does offer the best panoramic view of the valley below where you can see the platue ending and the plains beginning.
Best time to visit is during the monsoons, when the forests are in full bloom. You can witness the best sunrises and sunsets from this enchanting location.

Sahastradhara, Maheshwar.
Sahastradhara roughly translates to 1000 streams, situated in Maheshwar (approx. 95 kms from Indore), easily accessible by road. Sahastradhara is a rapid formed in a 90 degree bend in the river Narmada. Because of the water flowing over the numerous rocks, the river Narmada gives rise to hundreds of tiny streams at this point. The Sahastradhara is clearly visible when the water level in the Narmada is low. An amazing site to see either by road or by a boat, hired from the Maheshwar Ghat.
