Eminence reconciles with the region's climate through careful orientation, shading and material choice. Large, heat-protected glazing admits daylight while limiting radiation; deep overhangs, landscaped buffers and emitting mist shun heat; cross-ventilation leveraged on peripheral spaces and tall clerestories of double-height hall employs stack effect.
Programmatically, the project achieves optimum functionality with spatial legibility for regular and new inebriated merry patrons. A compact service nucleus containing the kitchen, corridors, and MEP infrastructure is strategically positioned to maintain column/duct-free, unobstructed social volumes. The entrance screens the indoors and evokes curiosity and discovery. Visitors arrive through a green forecourt and water-screened misty threshold that fades street noise and heat. Formally, the building balances monumentality with human scale with a simile of a sultry simper. Vertical fins and thermo pinewood cladding (Lunawood) of the monumental volume add rhythm to the façade, catching light differently through the day, transforming the bar into a glowing ember after dusk. From the entry the plan evolves into connected zones
