The Second trial shipment of Dasheri Mango was dispatched from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh to Dubai on 15th June 2025

The Indo-German AMD project has successfully enabled the second trial shipment of Dasheri Mango, with quality standards. This shipment originated from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and was sent by Malihabad Mango Farmer Producer Company Limited and IRADA Farmer Producer Company Limited on 15th June 2025. The recipient of this shipment was Dubai-based importer Vegrow Trading LLC, with 1,200 kg of Dussehri mangoes (400 boxes, each weighing 3 kg) airlifted to Dubai. The consignment was flagged off by Shri Dinesh Pratap Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing, and Agricultural Foreign Trade.
The Directorate of Agri. MKT. & Agri. Foreign Trade, under the Government of Uttar Pradesh, played a crucial role in providing the required support and guidance. Through these efforts, the FPC is showcasing its ability to actively participate in export value chains. For the first time both the FPOs are independently exporting mangoes, making it a historic milestone for the state’s mango growers.
Throughout the previous mango season, the AMD project initiatives delivered cluster-level training sessions focusing on the current utilization of active substances by farmers, approved active substances, and good agricultural practices to the chosen FPO farmers of Malihabad Mango Farmer Producer Company Limited. This was done to enhance the quality of dashari Mango with quality standards.
The primary objective of this trial shipment program is to enhance the export of horticultural fruits and vegetables, value-added products, and the overall agricultural industry in Uttar Pradesh. This Malihabad region is widely recognized for its outstanding mango quality, and the initiative aims to further promote and strengthen this reputation.
