International Conference on ‘Frontier at the Chemistry Allied Sciences Interface’ at RU

Jaipur. Two days international conference on ‘Frontier at the Chemistry Allied Sciences Interface’ organised at University of Rajasthan Campus. It was organised by The University of Rajasthan’s Centre of Advanced Study (Department of Chemistry). As many as 35 speakers and 400 researchers took part in this conference from 12 countries including Thailand, China, France, Australia and Japan.

Padmasri Prof Goverdhan Mehta, Renowned scientist and National Research Professor, University of Hyderbad was the chief guest of inaugural session. He said that chemistry is the base of our life, without it we can’t survive and exist. He informed that there are various chemicals in our daily life’s things and food. Out of them some are beneficial for us, while some chemicals are very dangerous. He expressed needs to refresh and rejuvenation of chemistry to fit for purpose of 21th century’s science.

Prof Michikazu Hara, Professor of Tokyo Institute of Technology and Jacques Jupile, Director (Research), Institute of Nanoscience, Paris was the Guest of Honour. J. P. Singhal, Vice Chancellor, University of Rajasthan was the chairperson of inaugural session.

Prof Anshu Dandia, HOD, Department of Chemistry hoped that this conference would be beneficial to collaboration of other streams of science with chemistry. He informed that there were eight sessions held on first day of this conference.

Padmasri Prof Goverdhan Mehta, Prof Pooran Chand and Prof Ravindra Pandey were also honoured (as ex-researchers of Rajasthan University) during the conference for their outstanding contribution in the field of chemistry.

INTER COLLEGE SPORTS AND CULTURAL FEST- LAKSHYA 2016 AT POOTNINA UNIVERSITY

Jaipur, 03 March. Three day Annual Sports and Cultural Fest of Poornima University (PU)- ‘LAKSHYA-2016’ started with great gala gaiety on Thursday. This grand affair is being organized to provide a platform to the students to showcase their versatility. It plays an important role in shaping the personality of the students. The function was inaugurated by the trap shooter Ms. Shagun Chowdhary as Guest of Honor, while Dr. S.M. Seth, Chancellor, Poornima University was the Chief Guest of inaugural ceremony.

At this occasion, Ms. Shagun narrated her life story and also motivated the students linking it with the theme of the fest ‘Lakshya’. She emphasized on clear vision, focused approach & determination towards achieving one’s goals.

This fest promises a splendid blend of more than 45 events covering basketball, 100m and 200m race, fashion show, dance, chess, etc. With a student base of around 3000, more than 45 participant colleges from across the country, this time it is going to be way bigger and better. Students representing various institutions participated and took part in various cultural, sports, and club activities.

The three day fest will continue till Saturday, where many more events will be taking place and will be culminated by the Hasya Kavi Sammelan in the evening on Saturday. The winner trophy was also unveiled during the event with a hope that a well begun event will round up successfully.

Mohit’s Valentine Special Romantic Song Launched

Jaipur, 12 February. Kanchan Cassettes & Series and Sinex Vision, the organizers of Rajasthan Film Festival (RFF) have initiated to provide platform and exposure to young talent of the state. In this sequence, they recently made a valentine special romantic video song ‘Fir mujhe dil se pukaar tu…’ which was officially launched on Friday in a city based hotel. It was launched by Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.
Singer Mohit Gaur not only gave their voice to this song, but also acts as a lead role in its video. It was informed by this song’s producers Sanjana Sharma and Devendra Sharma in press conference. It is noted that it is the first ever video song, which is made in 4-S resolution in Rajasthan.
Sanjana Sharma told that Khyati Sharma is also introduces as actress in this video along with Mohit. Its lyrics and music prepared by Kunaal Verma and Rapperiya Baalam. Its director is Karan Raj Solanki and cinematographer and editor is Neeraj Khandelwal.
Devendra Sharma stated that to provide exposure to young talents of Rajasthan, talent search programs will be organized in schools and colleges in next days.
Mohit Gaur and Khyati Sharma were also shared their experiences related to this song during the press conference.
