Day 8: Designing a Cowboy Website is Trickier than Riding a Wild Bull 🐂

When you think of cowboys, you imagine grit, freedom, and a touch of rugged charm. Designing a cowboy-themed website has to capture the same spirit — and honestly, it can be trickier than staying on a wild bull for 8 seconds.

🔹 Layout Choices:
The website layout should feel bold yet simple. Wide, open sections — like a prairie — give breathing room. Earthy tones (browns, tans, deep greens) set the mood. A rustic font adds personality without sacrificing readability.

🔹 Homepage Focus:
The homepage is the campfire where everyone gathers. It needs to tell your story instantly: Who you are, what you offer, and why you’re different. A hero banner with strong cowboy imagery (hats, boots, horses, or open fields) grabs attention. Beneath that, quick links to products, services, or experiences lead the user on.

🔹 Product Display:
Products should be showcased like prized stallions at the rodeo. Big, high-quality photos. Clear pricing. A little storytelling in each product description — not just “Leather Boots,” but “Handcrafted Leather Boots for Life on the Range.” Group similar items into collections so the buyer feels guided, not lost.

👉 The trick is blending authenticity with usability. A cowboy website must look rugged but ride smooth — so visitors feel at home, not bucked off.

Day 7 – Naming isn’t just naming—it’s branding.

When it comes to building a brand, a name is more than just a label — it’s the heartbeat of your identity. For our client’s vision of cowboy streetwear in Vietnam, we knew the name had to be bold, simple, and instantly connected to cowboy culture.

After exploring a few creative and branded options, we decided to keep it straightforward: Cowboy Wear.

Why? Because it says exactly what it is. No confusion, no guessing — just a clear promise of authentic cowboy-inspired fashion for bikers, men, and women across Vietnam. The name connects directly with the spirit of the open road, rugged style, and Western freedom that bikers live for.

And since our client is new to eCommerce, starting with a generic but powerful keyword-based name also helps with search visibility, making it easier for people to find us online. Later, as the brand grows, we’ll secure trademarks and evolve into a stronger branded identity.

For now, Cowboy Wear isn’t just a name. It’s a statement.
A name that rides with confidence. A name that says: this is who we are. 🤠🔥

Day 6 – From blank page to bold brand… 🎨

Every great brand starts with a blank page — and for Cowboy Wear Vietnam, we filled it with vision, grit, and a lot of style.

We began with mood boards inspired by bikers, leather, denim, and rugged cowboy culture. From there, we picked a bold color palette that balances the rebellious biker vibe with the modern eCommerce feel.

Next came the website structure — simple, easy to navigate, and focused on what matters most: cowboy streetwear that speaks to bikers. We wanted an eCommerce theme that wasn’t just about products, but about lifestyle — boots, hats, jackets, and accessories that make a statement.

And guess what? The vision is now live. 🚀

Day 5 – Step 1: Understanding the herd before riding the horse… 🐎

Before launching any brand, the first step is not designing the logo or setting up ads — it’s understanding the herd.

For this cowboy streetwear project, that meant diving deep into:

🔎 Competitors – Who’s already selling cowboy-inspired fashion in Vietnam and globally? What are they doing right, and where are the gaps?

👥 Target Audience – Mostly bikers, street event lovers, and young fashion-forward individuals who want to stand out. We looked at what they wear, what excites them, and what they expect from a brand.

🌍 Trends – Cowboy fashion isn’t just about boots and hats. It’s merging with streetwear, biker culture, and even festival fashion. This mix is where Vietnam’s cowboy wear brand can stand out.

Just like you wouldn’t ride a horse without first knowing the herd, we didn’t jump into ads without knowing the market pulse. This research became the foundation of our marketing journey.

Because when you understand the crowd, it’s easier to lead the way. 🤠

Hi, my name is Bala and I’m a Performance Marketer. Recently, I visited Vietnam for client work and got this exciting project — building an eCommerce store for cowboy streetwear. If you want to be part of this ride, hit follow — because this journey is just getting started. 🚀

Now, when most people think of Vietnam, they imagine busy markets, endless coffee shops, and stunning mountain roads. But here’s the twist — in the middle of this vibrant culture, there’s a biker community that lives and breathes cowboy fashion.

Picture this: nearly 200 bikers riding Harley-Davidsons across Vietnam, dressed in cowboy boots, rugged denim, leather jackets, wide hats, and bold belt buckles. It’s not just an outfit — it’s an attitude. 🤠🔥

Our client is a biker couple who’ve been part of this scene for years. For them, cowboy culture is freedom, rebellion, and style all rolled into one. Their dream? To create a brand that makes cowboy streetwear accessible to bikers across Vietnam — turning every road trip into a fashion statement.

Because here, cowboy culture isn’t just about clothes. It’s a movement. And trust me, it’s catching on fast.

Day 3 – Why We Didn’t Choose Shopify or WordPress… WHY WIX 🤔

When starting Cowboy Street Wear Vietnam, one of the big questions was:
👉 Which platform should we use for the online store?

We considered Shopify and WordPress (WooCommerce). Both are powerful, but here’s the catch:

Shopify → Great features, but higher monthly costs and transaction fees.

WordPress/WooCommerce → Highly customizable, but requires plugins, technical knowledge, and ongoing maintenance.

Our client, however, was new to eCommerce but had some experience editing websites on Wix. They wanted something simple, cost-effective, and easy to manage without depending on developers.

That made Wix the perfect choice ✅

Simplicity → Drag-and-drop builder, no coding needed.

Cost → More affordable compared to Shopify’s recurring fees.

Client Comfort → They already knew how to make edits, which meant more confidence & independence.

The goal wasn’t just to build a website, but to give the client a tool they could own, edit, and grow with.

Sometimes, the best platform isn’t the fanciest — it’s the one that fits the client best.

What domain name should i choose for my client ?

Day 2 – The Domain Dilemma 🌐

When you’re starting an online brand, the domain name decision feels huge.
For our Cowboy Street Wear Vietnam project, this was one of the first big calls we had to make.

The client was completely new to eCommerce. They had no experience with online branding or digital stores. Their goal? First test the market demand before investing in trademarks and heavy brand building.

So we had two options:

Branded domain: Unique, creative, but unknown and harder to rank.

Generic keyword domain: Simple, SEO-friendly, and instantly connects with what people are searching.

After studying the market, we saw that people in Vietnam were already searching terms like “cowboy wear Vietnam”, “cowboy jackets”, and “streetwear cowboy.” That convinced us.

👉 We decided to go with a generic keyword domain to gain faster visibility, build trust, and check demand first.

👉 Later, once the brand grows, we’ll move towards brand registration, trademark protection, and buying a branded domain.

Sometimes in digital marketing, the smartest move is to start simple, get found, then evolve. 🚀

This month, I went to for my cousin’s . Everything was going great — the beach breeze, the food, the relatives asking “When is your turn?” every five minutes.

But the funniest part? The moment I landed, my phone became smarter than me. Suddenly, every app was showing me ads for “Best wedding in ,” “Beach in Vizag,” and even “Learn in 7 days!” It felt like my phone knew more about my trip than my family did.

That’s when it hit me — location-based targeting is no joke. There’s a huge in marketing here… and maybe, just maybe, I should thank my for the free ideas.

Day 1 – The Ride Begins 🤠🇻🇳

Hi, my name is Bala and I’m a Performance Marketer.

Recently, I visited Vietnam for client work — but what started as a business trip turned into something way bigger. While networking with a few business owners, I met a couple who were deeply passionate about bikes, street events, and cowboy culture.

The husband is a biker who rides with club groups across Vietnam, attending different street and bike events. And his wife? She had this amazing idea — to create a Cowboy Street Wear brand that matches their lifestyle and passion.

In Vietnam’s modern generation, cowboy style isn’t just fashion — it’s an attitude. They wanted to take that energy and turn it into a brand that bikers, event-goers, and cowboy lovers could proudly wear.
