---

🧠 Critical Illness Insurance

Critical Illness Insurance एक benefit-based cover हो सकता है, जिसमें policy में defined covered critical illness का diagnosis होने और applicable conditions पूरी होने पर fixed lump-sum amount दिया जाता है।

Policy

waiting period

exclusions

claim conditions

benefit amount

1️⃣ Health Insurance

---

2️⃣ Term Insurance

---

5️⃣ Emergency Fund

Job loss, medical emergency

Financial Planning

Money? Understanding SWP with a Real Example

One of the biggest questions retirees ask is:

> "If I start withdrawing money every month, won't my investment eventually get exhausted?"

The answer depends on how much you withdraw and how your portfolio grows.

A Systematic Withdrawal Plan (SWP) is one of the most effective ways to generate a regular monthly income from your mutual fund portfolio while allowing the remaining investment to continue growing.

Example

Let's assume:

Initial Investment: ₹1,00,00,000 (₹1 Crore)

Portfolio Return: 8% per annum

Annual Withdrawal: 6% (₹6,00,000 per year)

Monthly SWP: ₹50,000

Investment Period: 10 Years

Year-wise Illustration

Year Opening Corpus Growth @8% Withdrawal Closing Corpus

1 ₹1.00 Cr ₹8.00 L ₹6.00 L ₹1.02 Cr
2 ₹1.02 Cr ₹8.16 L ₹6.00 L ₹1.04 Cr
3 ₹1.04 Cr ₹8.33 L ₹6.00 L ₹1.06 Cr
4 ₹1.06 Cr ₹8.52 L ₹6.00 L ₹1.09 Cr
5 ₹1.09 Cr ₹8.72 L ₹6.00 L ₹1.12 Cr
6 ₹1.12 Cr ₹8.94 L ₹6.00 L ₹1.15 Cr
7 ₹1.15 Cr ₹9.17 L ₹6.00 L ₹1.18 Cr
8 ₹1.18 Cr ₹9.43 L ₹6.00 L ₹1.22 Cr
9 ₹1.22 Cr ₹9.71 L ₹6.00 L ₹1.26 Cr
10 ₹1.26 Cr ₹10.04 L ₹6.00 L ₹1.29 Cr

Results After 10 Years

Total Withdrawn: ₹60,00,000

Final Corpus: ₹1.29 Crore (approx.)

Increase in Corpus: ₹28.97 Lakh

Despite withdrawing ₹60 lakh, your investment still grew because the portfolio return (8%) was higher than the withdrawal rate (6%).

Important Points

This is an illustrative example, not a guarantee.

Mutual fund returns are market-linked and may vary every year.

Inflation should also be considered while deciding the SWP amount.

The withdrawal rate should be reviewed periodically based on age, goals, asset allocation, and market conditions.

Key Takeaway

A well-designed SWP is not just about taking money out—it's about creating a sustainable retirement income while giving your wealth the opportunity to continue compounding.

Financial freedom isn't about having unlimited money. It's about making your money last for your lifetime.

Is Your Child's Dream Protected Even If You Are Not Around?

Why Every Parent Should Understand the Power of a Child Insurance Plan with Waiver of Premium (W*P)

Every parent dreams of giving their child the best education.

Whether it's becoming a doctor, engineer, entrepreneur, pilot, or studying abroad...

Parents rarely compromise when it comes to their children's future.

But here's an important question:

> Have you only planned to save for your child's education... or have you also planned for what happens if you're not there to complete that journey?

This is where many financial plans fail.

---

Saving Money Is Easy.

Ensuring Your Child Receives It at the Right Time Is the Real Challenge.

Many parents invest in:

Mutual Funds

PPF

Fixed Deposits

Gold

Real Estate

These are all excellent investment options.

But they have one common limitation.

They are self-funded investments.

As long as you are alive and earning...

You continue investing.

But if life takes an unexpected turn...

The monthly investments often stop.

And unfortunately...

Many dreams stop along with them.

---

This Is Where a Child Insurance Plan with Waiver of Premium (W*P) Becomes Different.

A Child Insurance Plan isn't just another investment.

It is a financial promise made to your child.

The most powerful feature is called:

Waiver of Premium (W*P)

---

What is Waiver of Premium (W*P)?

Suppose you purchase a Child Insurance Plan today.

Your goal is to accumulate funds when your child turns 18 or 21 for higher education.

Now imagine the worst-case scenario...

If the insured parent unfortunately passes away during the policy term:

✅ The family does not have to pay future premiums.

✅ The insurance company waives all remaining premiums.

✅ The policy continues exactly as planned.

✅ The investments continue growing.

✅ At maturity, the child receives the planned amount at the planned age.

The child's education goal remains protected.

---

Why Timing Matters More Than Amount

Higher education expenses don't wait.

College fees don't get postponed because life changed.

A Child Plan with W*P ensures that money reaches your child:

✔ At the right age

✔ In the right amount

✔ Exactly when it is needed

Not too early.

Not too late.

---

Can Mutual Funds + Term Insurance Do the Same Job?

Many people recommend this combination.

It is a valid financial strategy for many families.

However, it depends heavily on financial discipline.

If the parent passes away early, the term insurance payout may be required for:

Household expenses

Existing loans

Medical costs

Daily living expenses

As a result, the education fund may be reduced or used for other priorities.

A Child Plan with W*P is specifically designed so that the education corpus continues toward the child's milestone.

---

Why Child Plans Cost More

Many people ask:

> "Why is a Child Plan more expensive than a normal investment?"

The answer is simple.

You're not paying only for investment.

You're paying for a guarantee.

A guarantee that, if life takes an unexpected turn, your child's education plan does not stop.

That protection is something no traditional investment alone can provide.

---

A Simple Question Every Parent Should Ask

If something unexpected happens to me tomorrow...

Will my child's dream continue...

Or will it depend on my savings and circumstances?

Planning is not about expecting the worst.

It is about ensuring the best, no matter what happens.

---

Final Thought

A parent's greatest gift is not wealth.

It is the confidence that their child's future will remain secure—even in their absence.

A Child Insurance Plan with Waiver of Premium (W*P) is one way to help provide that protection.
