From Limestone to Quick Lime

It all begins with limestone, a natural rock composed mainly of Calcium Carbonate (CaCO₃). Through controlled heating above 900°C, calcination transforms it into Calcium Oxide (CaO), also known as Quick Lime, while releasing CO₂.
