10.7. Quality audit- It may be useful to supplement self-inspections with a quality audit. A quality audit
consists of an examination and assessment of all or part of a quality system with the specific purpose of
improving it. A quality audit is usually conducted by outside or independent specialists or a team
designated by the management for this purpose. Such audits may also be extended to suppliers and
contractors.

Above requirement is specified in recently published REVISED SCHEDULE M vide Notification : GSR 922(E) dated 28 December 2023. These rules shall come into force in INDIA as follows -
1. Larger companies with turnover more than Rs 250cr shall implement changes within six month from publication of these rules.
2. Small and medium scale companies with turnover less than Rs 250cr shall implement changes within one year from publication of these rules.
