Has it been difficult? Yes.
Do we still show up? HELL YES.

Past few months have been just a lot. A LOT more than what one could handle. Some times, it feels like everything is falling apart and nothing is going the way we thought it would go.

We don't know what the future holds. But we are willing to show up in little ways that we can. We are telling ourselves that there is no need to hurry. We are taking our time. WE ARE TAKING OUR TIME AND IT'S OKAY.

We are grateful to the strong ones that have stayed with us, believed in us even when we didn't show up. You are what makes us want to move forward, slowly but definitely. We are trying and we will continue to try, in all the little ways possible.

Everytime we make something, we wonder how something that has been made using discarded fabric be so beautiful??

I would like to think about it in this way. This fabric could have ended up in a landfill. But because it chose to do something differently, it lives amongst us as a bag.

Just like us humans. All we need is a different choice - to live a life that is more than ordinary ❤️

This post is more like a gratitude to Harishanna. He was introduced to me by Madhura R J when we were in college in 2011. Harishanna runs a tailoring shop in Milagres, Karnataka and every stitched piece that I wear in my daily life is made by him. I go to him with a lot of demands and he delivers. EVERY TIME!

When I restarted Prasthara, the first person I visited was him. All the aprons that you see here are made using discarded fabrics from his tailoring shop.

For a person who was beginning again, it was easy to approach him since he knew me and my little dreams since a very long time.

These aprons were handmade by our women at Prasthara and are up for sale. DM us to buy! ❤️
