Cash trapped in operations doesn’t look the same at every scale. Treating it like it does is how we finance the wrong problem.

We at 180 Degrees Consulting(Purdue and IIT Kharagpur) have spent the past summer digging into working capital and supply chain finance across SMEs, mid-market firms, and enterprises (41+ companies, three geographies). Some of what stood out to us is this:

→ SMEs lose to inventory, not slow customers. They also unfortunately have the fewest tools to fix it
→ Mid-market performance splits by ownership structure, not industry
→ Enterprises have the full toolkit. Their problem is lack of precision, not access
