Six lane roads are now a reality in kerala. Driving along such roads requires discipline otherwise accidents are bound to happen. This is a real danger. The government should start educating people about the driving in 6 lane roads.

മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയിലെ ലത്തൂരിൽ നടന്ന ഒരു റോഡപകടത്തിൽ വൈറൽ വീഡിയോ ആണ് . കേരളത്തിലെ ദേശീയ പാതകൾ 4 -6 വരിയായി പുനർനിർമ്മിച്ചു വർഷാവസാനം ഗതാഗതത്തിനു തുറന്നു കിട്ടിയേക്കും. ഈ പാത access controlled ആണ്. അതായതു ദേശീയ പാതയിൽ നിന്നും ഇറങ്ങാനും കയറാനും നിശ്ചിത സ്ഥലത്തു കൂടി മാത്രമേ അനുവദിയ്ക്കു. പ്രധാന പാത വേഗത കൂടിയ വാഹനങ്ങൾക്കായിരിയ്ക്കും . മറ്റുള്ള സാധാരണ ഗതാഗതം സർവീസ് റോഡു വഴിയായിരിയ്ക്കും. ഇതുമൂലം റോഡു മുറിച്ചു കടക്കാൻ കൂടുതൽ ദൂരം യാത്ര ചെയ്യേണ്ടി വരും. കേരളത്തിലെ നിലവിലുള്ള ഗതാഗത സംസ്കാരമനുസരിച്ചു, കൂസലില്ലാതെ എതിർ ദിശയിൽ ഇരുചക്ര വാഹനങ്ങളും സൈക്കിളും ഓടിച്ചു വരുകയും പെട്ടെന്ന് റോഡു മുറിച്ചു കടക്കുന്നതും വെറും സാധാരണ കാര്യം. സിഗ്‌നൽ ഇല്ലാതെ തിരിയുന്നതാണ് ചട്ടം.പക്ഷെ പുനർനിർമ്മിക്കുന്ന ദേശീയ പാതയിൽ ഇത്തരം സ്വഭാവം കാലപുരിയ്ക്കുള്ള one way ticket ആയിരിയ്ക്കും. അത് കൊണ്ടു ദേശീയ പാത പൂർത്തിയാവുന്ന മുറയ്ക്ക് നമ്മുടെ ഗതാഗത സംസ്കാരത്തിൽ മാറ്റം വരുത്താനും സുരക്ഷിതമായി വാഹനമോടിക്കുന്നതിൽ അവബോധം സൃഷ്ടിക്കാനുമുള്ള പഠന പരിശീലന പരിപാടികൾ എത്രയും വേഗം സർക്കാർ തുടങ്ങണം. അപകടങ്ങൾ സംഭവിച്ചതിനു ശേഷമല്ല നടപടിയെടുക്കേണ്ടത്.
