All the above mentioned facilities are available for physical incubation companies. Virtual

Startups incubated at this program gets all support facilities provided by NRI-TBI except physical office space. The startup is required to register with NRI-TBI but operate from their own space.

Brinc India has called for applications from companies in the fields of hardware and IoT (internet of things) for a total grant of Rs 1.79 crore (USD 250,000) for each selected startup from across the country. Startups can apply before February 15.

The scheme will make Brinc eligible for holding 12.15 per cent to 22.42 per cent of the startup’s shares.

In yet another corporate strengthening its commitment to the Indian startup ecosystem, mortgage finance company HDFC, which operates the HDFC Bank, is looking to invest up to INR 100 Cr ($14 Mn) per year in technology startups.

HDFC chairman Deepak Parekh reportedly said that the company will create an in-house team at its headquarters to take charge of investments. This team would dedicatedly work on understanding the startup ecosystem to do the investments. Parekh was confident that this team will start operating in two months. “At the last board meet, I took an idea of investing INR 100 Cr per year in startups,” Parekh said.

The country's first Super Fab Lab, which will give a major push to the hardware industry in the country and the only such facility outside the U.S., was launched at the Integrated Startup Complex of the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) here on Saturday. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the facility through remote control from Palakkad, where he attended a function at the government Polytechic College.The Super Fab Lab will function in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
