Alfatek Systems

Alfatek Systems The first Indian firm to get a 5-star rating by 3DHubs, the world's largest 3D printer agency for our 3D printing services and 3D printers built in-house.

Think 3D Think Alfatek! We are a rapid prototyping firm specializing in quality 3D printing services. We also offer quality FDM machines manufactured by us and reputed companies like Makerbot. Our Rapid Prototyping or 3D Printing Services:
We offer a wide variety of 3D printing services to suit the customer requirements from post-processed FDM to SLA to powder bed technologies using metal, thermop

lastics, and resin. We also offer 3D CAD Design and other associated services for a one-shop complete solution. We offer rapid prototyping services to corporates like ITC, Nestle, Birla Tyres and Tata Steel. Our Machines:
We offer a wide variety of 3D printers - from the basic single nozzle to advanced multi-nozzle, and manual to automated leveling and compensation. These machines are based on proven open-source design tested by thousands of global users and manufactured, calibrated and tested at our own facility. Apart from this, we are also authorized re-sellers for Makerbot, and 3D Systems. We have put our machines to a number of quality tests and have installed our machines at corporates like Tega, NGOs like Anudip, Central Govt R&D like SCTIMST, and premier engineering colleges like IITs. How we started out? The open source 3D printing captured our imagination and we worked tirelessly to develop our version of a FDM based 3D printer that could build professional-grade plastic prints. How do we compare? We have bench-marked our 3D prints with those from the leading 3D printer manufacturers - Makerbot, Stratasys, and have found that our 3D prints compare favorably. We have exhibited at International Maker Festivals in Xi'an, China, and India. What else? We also offer electronic rapid prototyping services using open-source electronic hardware like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, TI MSP430, NXP, etc.

We want to thank Puredyne, Germany for inviting me as a speaker to the webinar.

We would like to take this opportunity to talk more about our latest commercial innovation - a 3D bioprinting industry first - Closed loop Pneumatic Extrusion. These advanced extruders feature a sensor that is fitted at the tip of the syringe and can dynamically and in real time, measure the pressure and feed it back to the pressure regulator to ensure that the pressure inside the syringe never exceeds the set threshold during extrusion. This capability ensures that your cells will never experience any sudden undesired pressure spikes or higher pressure offsets that can rupture and damage cells. This feature increases cell viability and also allows you strict quality control and compliance during bioprinting.

We will also talk about our other 3D bioprinting product features - fabricating complex stents using our Theta-X rotating spindle, dual-jet printing, and work done for pharma and healthcare industry. Please do register for the online event, organized by Puredyne, Germany:

I will be doing a panel discussion on 3D printing for ship-building at the Insitution of Engineers, Kolkata on 17 Jan, with Dr Kapil and Cdr Biswal. The event is being organized by the Eastern Zonal Association of Marine Engineers, Kolkata as part of their Annual Technical Seminar. I will also be showcasing our 3D printers at the event. In case you are interested and would like to attend, please send me a message.

(Incidentally, Institution of Engineers, Kolkata was just next door to our house where I grew up as a kid, and the director of the institute also lived in the backside of the institute. So, I have fond memories of playing with their dog. It will feel nostalgic to visit and give a talk there..)

We had a great time meeting everyone at BioManthan 2025 at IIT Ropar earlier this month, and learning about their latest research and progress in 3D bio-printing. We conducted a hands-on 3D bioprinting training workshop for the participants and were enthused by their questions and ideas on how our ANGA 3D bioprinters could be useful to them. We also participated in a panel discussion and shared our insights on how academia and industry could work together to further 3D bioprinting. We were invited to evaluate the poster session by the students and give feedback to them, and also deliver a talk at the conference.

We would like to especially thank SBAOI, STERMI, and the organizers at IIT Ropar - Prof Navin Kumar, Prof Bodhisatwa Das and all the student organizers for their continuous support and help during the conference. We share some memorable moments from the conference.

We are proud to be a gold sponsor for BioMANTHAN 2025 being organized by IIT Ropar in collaboration with SBAOI and STERMI from 4-7 December at IIT Ropar.
We will also be conducting a pre-conference workshop on 3-4 Dec on 3D Bioprinting, where we will demonstrate advanced bio-printing techniques such as co-axial printing, spiral corneal mould printing, 96 well-plate printing and more..

We will also showcase and launch our closed loop pneumatic extrusion technology - a pressure sensor placed at the nozzle takes real time internal pressure readings at the syringe barrel tip, and feeds back and regulates the pressure regulator, thus ensuring a smoother extrusion flow for delicate living cells in the bio-ink, thus, eliminating dynamic pressure spikes that can rupture cell walls and cause cell viability loss during extrusion.

We invite you to visit IIT Ropar and visit our booth to discuss your latest R&D bio-printing needs. With the widest range of extrusion technologies, (pneumatic, syringe pump, endless piston, and inkjet), Dual-jet, Theta-X rotating spindle, and Electrospinning configurations and a full climate control during bio-printing in a sterilized, laminar flow chamber, we are confident that the ANGA bio-printer will be your trusted tool, just like it has been for our hundreds of repeat customers in the last 12 years.

We will also showcase the advanced 3D bioprinters from our official partners - Brinter, Finland and RegenHU, Switzerland

At Alfatek Systems, we have been working hard with our customers in hospital chains - Tata Cancer, Manipal, AIIMS, etc to further the use of 3D printing in clinical cases and ensure better customer outcomes and viable ROI for the hospital chains. We have worked with oncology, paediatrics, orthopaedics and opthalmology units and have several user case studies. We, together with our customers, Dr Ninad Patel from Tata Cancer, Varanasi and Dr Sujata Mohanty, AIIMS, Delhi will be participating and giving a talk in IAPSCON 2025, organized by AIIMS Bhubaneswar in collaboration with Indian Association of Paediatric Surgeons in Puri next week. In case you or the doctors from your hospital chains are attending IAPSCON, I would like to extend a warm invitation to attend my talk on 3D printing.
