THE LEARNING LANDSCAPE | SCHOOL, DURGAPUR
Located within a 54-acre campus envisioned as a future university, the school forms part of a larger academic ecosystem. A key requirement of the university was a 5,000-capacity open-air theatre—conceived not as a separate structure, but as an integral part of the architecture.
The terraced roofscape doubles as a stepped amphitheatre, transforming the building's upper levels into a large gathering space for performances, assemblies and collective events. This approach allows the architecture to accommodate learning, landscape and public gathering within a single continuous form.
