SUN/SURYA-----SURYA or SURYA Narayan is the king of the planets in our Vedic Astrology.He is the life giver on earth. He is the son of sage KASHYAP and mother ADITI (by her mother' name ,he is also called as ADITYA). He is more than just a planets, he is one of the PANCH DEV among LORD SHIVA, MAA SHAKTI,SHRI GANPATI,LORD VISHNU and SURYA BHAGWAN himself.
As per Astrology ,he is the NETRAKARAKA, ie he governs ur eyes ans related aspects. If someone is having a weak SUN, he may have a weak eyesight.
SUN also represents one' own father. strong SUN gives good relationship with own father. He also happens to be SHANI DEV' father. Both are considered ark enemies in Astrology.
SUN also represents people who are in authority like the GOVT,MINISTERS,HIGH GOVT OFFICIALS etc who have the power to influence someone' life very strongly.
ARGHI/JAL to SURYA in the morning is considered to be very auspicious and strengthens your SUN in the horoscope.

what wud be one' occupation/source of livelihood is seen from the 10th House. The better is the position of the planets placed in your 10th house, the better would be your professional life. 10th house linked with 6th house yields a good job,10th house linked with 11th house yields funds/name/fame and credit for your efforts.
